Strange Weight Loss Gimmicks

As the obesity epidemic continues to prey on innocent Americans, the diet and fitness industry has taken extra steps to make sure that you aren’t the next victim.  There are tons on nontraditional ways to lose weight these days. And thank god because who wants to eat a balanced diet and go to the gym five days a week? Not me, that’s for sure. If you are also sick of the same of weight loss tips, then take a look at the newest, strangest weight loss gimmicks on the market right now. You never know, one of them might be the key to staying fit with minimal effort.

1. The vinyl sauna suit. Sweat off the pounds with this heavy-duty- piece vinyl suit. It’s made to prevent you body heat from escaping while you work out, so be prepared to sweat a lot even during low intensity workouts. It will rid you of excess water, which can cause you to feel bloated. Essentially, this suit dehydrates the body in order to reduce your overall weight. I’m not sure how healthy dehydration it, but maybe it works.

2. Caffeine cream. Instead of drinking caffeine, rub it on your skin. Moderate doses of caffeine supposedly boost your metabolism, so applying loads of it your butt and thighs will trim inches from you body, right? Supposedly body heat releases the caffeine into your legs giving your metabolism a kick start.

3. Weight loss spray. Spraying and sniffing a pretty bottled up combination of hydroxycitric acid, chromium and levocarnitine will essentially cause you to lose your appetite and get you extra skinny. I’m just guessing, but I would imagine this stuff doesn’t smell all that great.

4. Chapstick. Reduce your constant hunger pangs with some weight loss chapstick. If you are prone to snacking all day long, just apply a little bit of this chapstick to your lips and it will curb your appetite. You can use it as often as you like through out the day.

5. Exercise ball chair. Replace your boring old office chair with one of these and you’ll be on your way to losing those excess pounds. The distribution of your weight is supposed to make your abs work extra hard to maintain your posture. You’ll tone and burn calories with these exercise ball exercises in the comfort of your own cubicle.

Some of these suggestions are pretty out there, so if you aren’t the adventurous type then you might want to stick with a more traditional routine. But you never know, one of these gimmicks might just do the trick.
